Hello my darlings… How’s your week going? I hope it’s as exciting and filled with so much fun as mine. So I attended the first day of Lagos Fashion and Design week (LFDW) and as weird as it sounds, this is my first time attending the event and I’m super excited I get to skip work for some days and attend. Although I’ve attended other fashion shows but I have never had the opportunity to attend #LFDW and so when I knew I was going this year I knew I had to bring my A game or as some will say I had to bring my slaying game Lol.
I’ll be talking about my personal style and when the show ends on Saturday, I’ll share a detailed review of my experience and my favorite designers on the runway so if you haven’t subscribed to the blog you should so you get to know the exact time and day the post gets published.
I have always loved wrapped dresses because of how sexy and chic they look on people. My wish finally came to a reality when I went for fitting at my favorite store (@desire1709 on Instagram) and I saw this wrapped dress with glitters and immediately without even fitting, I knew I had to take it and wear it for one of the days.
I decided to wear it to start the fashion week because you know (“mans had to make a statement and let them know thoniabankz is here”) Just kidding! I really wanted to wear it on the first day because I really love the dress and I love how it showed my curves and legs. Did I mention the dress glittered at night?! Yes it did! I paired the dress with nude heels and purse from my mums wardrobe (Thanks mummy).
I won’t be attending day 2 for some reasons but I’ll be attending day 3 and 4 and I’ll definitely be sharing my personal style here. I also want to appreciate everyone for their positive feedback and for all the photographers and presenters that gassed me up and I also wanted to mention that if you seen me feature on any interview on television, that’s not my real face because I was really really shy.
What are your thoughts on wrap dressed? Would you pull this off to a fashion show or for fashion week? Kindly drop your comments and I’ll love to hear from you!
